We arrived safe and sound yesterday to Guelph, Ontario in the new Scion that Toyota lent us for a week. Nice ride. Guelph is about one hour west of Toronto.

We are here to play and do workshops at the Hillside Festival located at the beautiful Guelph Lake Conservation area. The festival is now in its 27th year and really delivers on top notch, eclectic programming.

Alex helped kick-off the festival yesterday at the "Let's Get This Party Started" workshop and performs at the "Your Songs, Mys Songs" workshop tonight at 7 p.m. at the Sun Stage. Speaking of sun, the forecast yesterday was for clouds and thunderstorms, it was raining when we arrived and grey when we got to the site after a 20 minute shuttle van ride and a 10 minute ferry ride. Suddenly, after about 30 minutes, the skies began to clear up and the sun shone through for the rest of the evening, making for some gorgeous sunsets. Not saying Alex had anything to do with the the weather but it does make you wonder...

Sunday is the big performance day when Alex, Max and David rock the Mainstage at 3 p.m. Then Alex performs on the "Good Boys or Bad Boys?" workshop at the Sun Stage.

This is an amazing festival in a beautiful setting. Totally eco-friendly with reusable dishes and utensils, composting, recycling, even the mainstage roof has a garden on it. Hill-Side!
